Brunnier in Bloom Winners Announced
Iowa State University Museum announces contest winners.

The 4th annual Brunnier in Bloom attracted more than 400 visitors over the course of the weekend.
The Brunnier in Bloom event showcases the talents of Ames-area floral designers and garden clubs as they are challenged to create arrangements inspired by works of art currently on exhibition in the Brunnier Art Museum. The 21 floral arrangements were on display March 23-25 and offered visitors a creative and unique interpretation of the current exhibitions in the Brunnier Art Museum.

On Friday evening, March 23rd, judges selected the recipients of the Best in Show and Honorable Mention awards. The Best in Show distinction was given to Jodi Headrick, , for her arrangement Bubble Helix inspired by an untitled mosaic by Esther Dendel.
Honorable Mention awards were given to Brian Smith from for his Shades of Organized Chaos arrangement inspired byAbstract Landscape by Brent Holland and Kathy Young from Flowerz 4-Ever for her Heat arrangement inspired by Pouring Steel by Minneta Good. Visitors voted throughout the weekend and on Sunday afternoon awarded the People’s Choice award to Brian Smith.
