City Of Ames: City Of Ames Holiday Closings For Thanksgiving

Ames City Hall, 515 Clark Ave., and the Ames Public Library, 515 Douglas Ave., will both be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 25 and 26, in recognition of Thanksgiving.

The Community Center in City Hall will be closed on Thanksgiving, but open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26. Municipal Pool will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 25 and 26. The Ames/ISU Ice Arena will be closed on Thanksgiving and open on Friday, Nov. 26, for public skating from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. For more information on schedules for Parks and Recreation facilities, visit www.amesparkrec.org

CyRide buses will not operate on Thanksgiving. Additionally, CyRide will operate a break schedule from Saturday, Nov. 20, through Sunday, Nov. 28, while Iowa State University classes are not in session. All shaded trips noted in the normal school year schedules are not operated at these times and some full bus routes do not operate. For more CyRide schedule information, visit www.cyride.com

The Resource Recovery Plant, 110 Center Ave., will be closed on Thanksgiving. The administrative offices will be closed on Friday, Nov. 26, but the tipping floor will be open from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
