City Of Ames: East 20th Street Closed East Of Duff Avenue

East 20th Street from Duff Avenue to Homewood Golf Course driveway will be closed to traffic beginning Tuesday, Oct. 12, weather permitting, to allow reconstruction of the street. This project will include a full reconstruction of the road along with replacement of select storm sewer intakes and manholes, and sidewalk infill on Duff Avenue north of East 20th Street.

The City of Ames has contracted with All Star and its subcontractor, Cooper and Sons, for this project, which is expected to be completed in four to five weeks. Access to Homewood Golf Course will be maintained via Meadowlane Avenue from the east and George Allen Avenue from the south.

All are encouraged to take note of this construction activity in the area and allow extra travel time as delays will occur. As always, caution should be exercised when traveling through the construction area.
