“At Ames Parks and Recreation, we want to thank everyone who golfed at Homewood Golf Course in 2021,” said Nate Pietz, Recreation Manager. “We are looking forward to the golf course reopening the first week of April 2022, weather permitting. We appreciate your business and look forward to another outstanding season in 2022.”
While the golf course will close, the new Homewood Clubhouse will be available to rent year-round. The building provides an ideal location to host a birthday party, baby shower, bridal shower, wedding reception, business meeting, or holiday party. The Parks and Recreation Department manages 38 parks and offers approximately 180 athletic, aquatic, instructional, and wellness programs. Indoor programs are provided year-round at the Community Center, Ames/ISU Ice Arena, and Municipal Pool.
