City Of Ames: McKinley Drive Closing From Court/Circle To Northwestern On Monday

McKinley Drive from McKinley Court/Circle to Northwestern Avenue will be closed to traffic beginning Monday, Nov. 15, weather permitting, to allow reconstruction of the road. McKinley Drive from Van Buren Avenue to McKinley Court/Circle will open to local traffic on Saturday, Nov. 13. Access to McKinley Circle and McKinley Court will remain open.

The City of Ames has contracted with Manatts Inc. to complete this project, which includes pavement removal followed by ground preparation for paving operations. A new asphalt road and selected concrete driveways will be installed following this work. This project is expected to take 10 to 14 days to complete.

All are encouraged to take note of this construction activity in the area and allow extra travel time as delays may occur. For safety reasons, please keep children and pets away from the construction zone.
