EcoChats Begins On January 28
The first of three EcoChats, a new format of short, sustainability-themed lectures, will begin with a vendor open house on January 28.

The first of three EcoChats, a new format of short, sustainability-themed lectures, will begin with a vendor open house at 6:30 p.m., followed by the chats at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, in the Farwell Brown Auditorium, Ames Public Library, 515 Douglas Ave. EcoChats have been scheduled for January, February, and March as a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the City’s annual EcoFair and in recognition of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. The EcoFair will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, at the City Hall Community Center Gymnasium, 515 Clark Ave.
The theme for the EcoChats on Jan. 28 will be energy, with local experts and City staff discussing the following topics:

The EcoChats on Wednesday, Feb. 26, will focus on water, and the Monday, March 30, EcoChats will feature a reduce, reuse, recycle theme. All EcoChats will begin at 6:30 p.m. with an open house, followed by the lectures at 7 p.m., in the Ames Public Library auditorium. After each session, participants will be able to talk to presenters, as well as browse the open house and enjoy refreshments.
