The African Children’s Choir will bring its bright show and message of hope to Ames this summer.

The choir, which includes some of the neediest children from seven African countries, will perform in a free concert at 7 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Ames Middle School Auditorium. A free will offering will be taken to support the Music for Life Institute, the organization that sponsors the choir and other educational programs in Africa.
