Climate change is real, and it's happening NOW. Come help 350.org "connect the dots" between greenhouse gas emissions, climate change, and extreme weather for world leaders around the globe to see.
First, we'll meet outside the power plant on the side facing Lied Rec, where we will hold signs and say some chants to show how fossil fuels (and coal in particular) are causing climate change and extreme weather events. Then we will walk to Squaw Creek and erect a flood pole to show how floods in Ames are getting bigger and more frequent due to climate change.
Photos from the event will be sent to 350.org, and from there to world leaders as a message that we need strong policies to prevent irreversible climate change, because the transition to a warmer world has already begun.
