Snow Ordinance Canceled in Ames

Accumulations of snow were less than expected Friday so the City of Ames will not place its snow ordinance into effect.

The snow ordinance goes into effect any time there is more than two inches of snow on main routes. At that time people need to removed their parked cars from designated snow routes. Vehicles are often towed immediately.
