Incumbent Announces Plans to Seek Re-election to Ames School Board
The terms of three board members are set to expire this fall.

Bill Talbot has announced plans to seek re-election to the Ames school board, according to the Ames Tribune.
Talbot holds one of three at-large seats up for re-election this fall, the article said. Talbot is the first to announce his plans to run again. David Putz and Mike Espeset have not yet announced their plans to seek another term.
Talbot was first elected to the board in 2009, the Tribune reported. He decided to run again to see through the improvements being made to district facilities and projects including the one-to-one computer initiative.
The candidate filing period for this fall’s election ends Aug. 1.
