The filing deadline for a spot on the Council is just hours away, but so far the only race is in ward 4, where incumbent Riad G. Mahayni announced he would not run.
Victoria Szopinski, 3710 Ross Road; Frank Jeffrey, 237 Wildflower Drive; and Chuck Jons, 2916 Forest Hills Drive have all filed for the seat.
City Councilman Jami Larson filed for his ward 2 seat and City Councilman Matthew Goodman also filed for his at-large seat but they face no challengers so far.
