Musicals, Music and Dinner Theater all in Ames Tonight

Things happening in Ames today and what else you should know.

1) State Fair

State Fair the Musical will be performed by Choral Music and Drama students Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The performances will be held in the Ames High School Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Friday Feb. 3 and Saturday, Feb. 4; and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5. Tickets cost $6 for students and $10 for adults.

2) Queen of Bingo

an all volunteer community theater in Ames presents Queen of Bingo Dinner Theater 6 p.m. tonight. The performance takes place in the basement of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. A lasagna dinner from and will accompany the comedy. Tickets are $40. Buy tickets at or call 515-232-2354.

3) Mini Musicals at ISU

students will be performing 20 minute mini musicals at 6 and 9 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Memorial Union in Ames. The minis include original lyrics and choreography. Tickets are $8 for students $10 for everyone else.

4) Music at Milo

Live music will be heard at starting at 7 p.m. Friday's guest is Sam Pattison. Pattison is a self-described solo folk musician who plays all over Ames. Read more about him here.

5) Weather

The National Weather Service calls for patchy fog before 10 a.m. and a 20 percent chance of rain after noon. Temperatures are expected to reach the low 40s.
