Online Veteran Job Fair Available Today

The unemployment rate among veterans from the Iowa 2nd Brigade Combat Team that returned this summer from Afghanistan was about 20 percent, according to surveys by the Employer Support of the Guard and the Reserve.
Those veterans — who live across the state — and others can participate in an online job fair today at www.veteranscareerfair.com. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Veterans will be able to log in and visit employer booths, view job openings, apply for jobs, watch employer videos and presentations, chat live with recruiters, and complete on-the-spot video interviews, according to a press release from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
