Saint Patrick's Day in Ames and What Else You Can Do

If you haven't already had breakfast at or , Marcus Johnson of will start this holiday with a Saint Paddy's Day at 1 p.m. He has a British themed store, but has some Irish goodies in stock.

Earlier in the day you can learn how to make shepard's pie at . Pre-registration is not required for the 10 a.m. class, but it does cost $5.

will celebrate a different type of heritage with Indian Classical Dancing at 2 p.m.

will host another session of . Come around 4 p.m. to learn how to tell your story and come at 7:30 p.m. if you just want to hear one. 

If you'd rather do something other than celebrate Saint Patrick's Day with alcohol you could learn about computers and the stars at the local astronomers club at McFarland Park or see some live music at The Space. Strong Like Bear, Ladysoal and the Beat Strings will perform starting at 8 p.m.
