Thousands Expected for Iowa-Iowa State Saturday
The Cy-Hawk game should bring 75,000 to Jack Trice Stadium Saturday.

Ames will be playing host to a very large tailgating party in and around for the annual Iowa State-Iowa game this Saturday.
The staff expects the stadium's 55,000 seats to sell out. An additional 25,000 ticketless people will likely hang out in the parking lots. And some of the 75,000 people have already arrived.

Rob Bowers, Iowa State Department of Public Safety deputy police chief, said to arrive early and plan an extra hour or more to find parking.
“Parking will be a premium for this game. A lot of people are in town,” Bowers said.
Security will be the same as for any game, the only difference might be the early start time. The game starts at 11 a.m. and Bowers said they will bring extra patrol on duty at 3 a.m.
More than 20 members of the Ames Police Department will be on hand to provide security in the stadium and Ames Police public information officer James Robinson said they know that they will likely have more calls for service due to the increased number of people in Ames bars and restaurants.
