United Way of Story County to Hold Ribbon Cutting to the Next 60 Years

United Way of Story County (UWSC) will hold a ribbon cutting on Monday, July 8 at 1:30 p.m. in its office at 315 Clark Ave., Ames. In honor of its 60th anniversary, a “60th Social for Social Media” is planned. A brief presentation, ice cream social and a kickoff to UWSC’s Twitter feed (@LiveUnitedStory) will be included in the program. July 8 is 60 days before Sept. 6, this year’s date for the countywide kickoff of the LIVE UNITED campaign.

“It’ll be a fun way to celebrate decades of improving lives in our county,” says Jean Kresse, president and CEO. “We hope the community will join in the celebration as we look to the next 60 years and beyond.”
