VEISHEA Parade Starts the Day and More

VEISHEA, 's annual student-led celebration is in full swing.
Today's events include the 10:30 a.m. , University and community displays and Smoke over VEISHEA. Taste of VEISHEA also continues in the Molecular Biology parking lot Saturday.

The parade led by ISU President and Parade Grand Marshall Steven Leath begins at 10:30 a.m. on Pammel Drive. It will be televised on Mediacom's local access channel MC22 at 7 p.m.

Both music and food will be found in the Molecular Biology parking lot. Taste of VEISHEA starts at 11 a.m. Live acts begin performing in the same parking lot starting at 6 p.m.
Smoke over VEISHEA, and its barbecue sampling runs from noon to 2 p.m. In the Communications parking lot.
Stars Over VEISHEA presents RENT at Fisher Theater. It begins at 7:30 p.m.
A stage on central campus features jugglers, breakdancers and magic from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. And starts south of the Student Services building at 9 p.m.
VEISHEA stands for the university's colleges present when the celebration was named in 1922:
