Vilsack Vs. King Which Iowa Congress Candidate Has More Money

Both Vilsack and King announced their fund raising results from the first quarter of 2012.

U.S. Congressman Steve King, R-Kiron, has that the race for Iowa's new 4th Congressional District with Christie Vilsack, D-Ames, will be the most expensive congressional race in the history of Iowa.

In order for that to come true, both candidates would have to raise more than $2.5 million each. In 2006, Republican and Democrat candidates raised a combined $4.8 million in their race for the District 1 Congressional seat. At that time Democrat Bruce Braley was up against Republican Mike Whalen.
