Walk for Wellness, Race for Recovery: Sept. 26
Join CFR in celebrating National Recovery Month by attending the Walk for Wellness, Race for Recovery 5K run/walk on September 26 in Ames!
Each September, Community and Family Resources joins the National Recovery Month effort to raise awareness that behavioral health is essential to overall health, that prevention works, treatment is effective, and people can and do recover from mental and substance use disorders.
Please join Community and Family Resources for the 3rd Annual “Walk for Wellness, Race for Recovery” 5K run/walk on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at beautiful Ada Hayden Heritage Park in Ames! Check-in will be held from 8:00-8:45 AM, with the 5K beginning at 9:00 AM. Event registration is only $10 and includes a t-shirt, snacks, and all activities! Following the run/walk, activities will be held until noon. Activities will include healthy snacks, free chair massages (sponsored by Massage Heights), Spin Art, yard games, giveaway bags, and behavioral health resources.
