What's Open and What's Closed in Ames on Presidents' Day
Some government offices and the Ames Public Library will be closed for Presidents' Day Monday.

Most City of Ames departments and divisions will be closed today, Feb. 20 in recognition of Presidents' Day. The City Assessor’s Office will be closed. The Ames Public Library will be closed as well.
However the Community Center, located in City Hall, will be open regular hours from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Resource Recovery Plant, 110 Center Ave., will be accepting garbage from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., but its office will be closed.
The Story County Clerk of Court Office, located in Ames City Hall, will be open regular hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Ames Public Schools and Iowa State University will hold classes on Monday and Cyride buses will run its regular weekday schedule. Ames Christian Schools and St. Cecilia School will also be in session.
