When Does ‘The Hobbit’ Open: Show Times, Ticket Information
From the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, here comes an Unexpected Journey.

You remember "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, right? Well, it's time now for that other giant epic of middle Earth, the latest blockbuster movie coming for the holiday season: "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" opens tonight (well technically tomorrow 12:01 a.m.) and it's not too soon to figure out where you'll watch in fact it might be too late to buy your ticket.
The first and second showings set for early Friday morning are already sold out here at Cinemark Movies 12 but they have added some additional showings, which you can see below.
According to IMDB.com, the movie traces the story of "a curious Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, (who) journeys to the Lonely Mountain with a vigorous group of Dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug."

The fantasy film based in a land of elves, wizards and hobbits starts with midnight showings Thursday with its "official" opening on Dec. 14.

Tickets for the midnight showings are available now by connecting through The Hobbit's official site or at the Cinemark Movies 12 in Ames.
They will show the film in RealD 3D 12:01am 12:15am, 12:30am, 12:40am tonight (or tomorrow) and in Digital format at12:20am,12:50am tonight; and at 11:30am, 2:10pm, 3:15pm, 7:00pm, 9:30pm, 10:40pm in RealD 3D and at 10:30am, 12:45pm, 4:30pm, 5:50pm, 8:15pm in Digital Cinema all on Friday.
