Wind Energy Just One Straw Poll Feature

Candidates for President and Iowa voters will be asked to sign a 130-foot-long wind turbine blade made in Newton.

The American Wind Energy Association said in a press release that all Republican presidential candidates plan to sign the blade during the run-up to Saturday’s straw poll. Anyone else passing by can sign it as well.

The TPI Composites, Inc. blade is located next to the American Wind Power tent, behind the tent of Rep. Thaddeus McCotter.
