“Special thanks to Mrs. Fogarty’s 3rd grade class for their generous donation! As part of the curriculum at Southeast Elementary here in Ankeny, students choose topics they would like to know more about, research the topic, and complete a project related to it. Students chose to learn more about the brain and brain injury. As part of their project Therapy Manager at On With Life, Dave Anders, spent time in their classroom teaching them about the brain and helmet safety. In addition, the students created 12 fleece tie blankets and cards for persons served at On With Life. Ryan Crandall and Blake Anders delivered the blankets and cards to the nursing department yesterday. Lavonne, a person served at On With Life, thanked the boys for their work and chose a Cyclones blanket. We are so grateful for children giving back in the community!”
