Ankeny Community Education Offering ACERT Family Preparedness Class

The Ankeny Community Education Office is proud to announce a new class, ACERT Family Preparedness Academy. 

This class will equip you with the skills you need to be prepared for an emergency in your home or neighborhood. Following the Ready.gov model for preparedness this class will help you create an emergency plan, build a ready kit, and be informed. The only way to receive the ACERT Family Preparedness Academy Certificate is to attend all three nights and successfully complete all of the trainings.

The Academy includes: Fire Extinguisher Training, Certification in American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid, Certification in AHA Heartsaver CPR & Automated External Defibrillator, and the Ready-Set-Prepared Program.

The academy is sponsored by the Ankeny Community Emergency Response Team and the Ankeny Fire Department. The instructor(s) will be Forest McGuire and AFD Personnel at the Ankeny First Department Station no. 1. 

Class will beign on Feb. 5 so hurry and enroll here before it is filled up.
