John Deere Des Moines Works Donates $200,000 to Ankeny Market & Pavilion

John Teeple, factory manager for the John Deere Des Moines Works, presented a $200,000 check to Ankeny Mayor Gary Lorenz at last night's fundraising kickoff for the Ankeny Market Pavilion.

"On behalf of John Deere Des Moines Works, I am honored to be here today to share our commitment to the support that will bring the concept of the Ankeny Market & Pavilion to a reality," said Mr. Teeple. "Supporting initiatives like the Ankeny Market & Pavilion create and maintain Ankeny as an attractive place to live, work and operate a business."

The donation was made possible by the company's local donations committee, which is comprised of several local employees who make decisions on where best to coordinate monetary donations, gifts in kind, and local sponsorships that improve the quality of life in Ankeny. The Des Moines Works Donations Committee focus is solely on the Ankeny community and support causes that are important to the business and its employees.
