Restaurant Specializing in Made-to-Order Salads Looking to Open in Ankeny

Mixed, a fast-casual restaurant specializing in made-to-order salads and other better for you offerings, has expansion plans for Ankeny and other cities across Iowa.

The Sioux Falls SD based restaurant is looking to sign three to five franchised locations in Iowa by the end of the year.  Their second location and first franchised location opened March 13th in Omaha NE.  “Iowa is a great environment for our concept as well.  We’re targeting Ankeny, Des Moines, Ames, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids and Sioux City to start and then will grow from there,’ said Kevin Plank, Franchise Sales and Support for Mixed.

The timeline for their Iowa expansion will be laid out after securing franchisees or a developer who wants to own the rights to a city, territory, or the whole state.  “We have had a lot of interest, but we’re still actively looking for partners to develop out the area and still working to target those individuals,” Plank said. “In Iowa, we’d like to have our presence here in 2013 and continue to add partners and locations to our great brand.”
