Ankeny Adults Can Join Trip to See 'Wizard of Oz,' 'Church Basement Ladies Christmas' Shows
Two trips are planned to holiday shows in December. Sign up today to be part of the fun.
The City of Ankeny, in partnership with First American Bank Experiences Group, is offering two December trips to get Ankeny’s older active adults in the holiday spirit, according to a Parks and Recreation Department news release.
On Dec. 13 join us for the musical version of the beloved movie “The Wizard of Oz,” presented at the Des Moines Playhouse. The cost is $88 per person and includes dinner, evening show, transportation, and gratuities.
Dec. 19 features the ever-popular “Church Basement Ladies Christmas” at Hoyt Sherman Place. This is a musical comedy with hilarious antics and humor audiences love. This is a matinee show and the cost is $88 which includes lunch, transportation, matinee show, and a surprise stop at a specialty shop.
