Ankeny Alumni Band Needs Performers to Play During Ankeny Football Game Friday Night

In celebration of 100 years of Ankeny Schools, the Ankeny Alumni Centennial Planning Committee is planning an “Ankeny Alumni Band” halftime performance at Friday night's homecoming football game halftime.

Any and all Ankeny alumni band members are encouraged to join. Potential participants are urged to keep in mind the performance will be for the fun and not necessarily precision.

A pre-game practice will be held on Friday at 6 p.m. on the field north of the football field. Band members will march on to the field playing the Ankeny school song before joining the current band in the north end zone during the game. 

Make sure to bring your instrument. If you are a tuba player or percussionist, instruments will be provided based on availability.
