Ankeny Community Schools Graduating Seniors: Apply for Scholarships

Dollars for Scholars Application Available Online; Donors Sought

The Ankeny Dollars for Scholars scholarship application is now available, with all applications now to be completed online.  

• Seniors should visit http://Ankeny.dollarsforscholars.org (or Google "Ankeny Dollars for Scholars")
• Select the Students & Parents tab
• Complete the online Student Profile.  

Once their student profile is complete, students may check back periodically.  As scholarship donations arrive, scholarships will be activated.  Students will find that they are eligible to apply for certain scholarships (called 'matches').  Then, they will need to select Submit to apply for those scholarships.  Scholarship matches will be updated frequently between January 17 and March 6.  The deadline for submitting applications is March 6, 2014.

Eligibility
  To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be a resident of the Ankeny Community School District;
• Be an Ankeny High School or Ankeny Centennial High School senior;
• Plan to attend an accredited college, university, or post-secondary institution (not limited to four-year schools);
• Have demonstrated meaningful involvement in school, community, or citizenship opportunities.

 How to support this worthwhile cause and Ankeny students: You can help Ankeny seniors continue their education by donating any amount toward a $500 scholarship.  Donate $500 or more to have a scholarship awarded in your name; if you wish, you may donate a scholarship as a memorial or in honor of someone.  All donations are fully tax deductible.  Donations may be sent to: Ankeny Dollars for Scholars, 406 SW School Street, Ankeny, IA, 50023.
