Ankeny DART express bus route among those affected by St. Patrick Day celebrations in downtown Des Moines

DART riders who use Route 98 to travel between Ankeny and downtown Des Moines, along with those who use the LINK shuttle, the downtown D-Line shuttle, and routes 16 (which serves Merle Hay Mall via Douglas Avenue) and 60 (University and Ingersoll Avenues) are advised to plan ahead for Monday’s parade in downtown Des Moines.

While most bus service will operate normally all day Monday, these routes will be on detoured routes due to road closures along the parade route, possibly causing minor delays. Detours will begin at 9 a.m. and remain in effect as late as 3 p.m.

The majority of DART services will be operating normally, offering event-goers an easy way to get to and from the parade. Those wanting to ride DART to the parade and avoid parking in downtown Des Moines can visit the MyDART Trip Planner at www.ridedart.com; transit directions are also available in Google Maps and Bing Maps.
