Ankeny Community Theater's Performance of "Dad's Christmas Miracle"

The Ankeny Community Theater will conclude its final weekend of performances of "Dad's Christmas Miracle" on Friday, Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. Shows will continue through Dec. 16 with performances also on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person.

Pat Cook's Dad's Christmas Miracle is the story of Conner Murphy who tells his granddaughters about a special Christmas when he was eleven. Through flashbacks, audience members see young Conner and his family struggling to have a wonderful Christmas.

Miracle on Walnut Street Holiday Event

Spontaneous Boutique in Ankeny is hosting the Miracle on Walnut Street holiday event on Friday, starting at 7:30 p.m. Join others to raise funds for the Ankeny Miracle League Field and All-Inclusive Playground by participating in a night of yoga. Admission is a free-will donation and the event will take place to the live music of Ron Lumbard.

GuideOne ImaginEve!: GuideOne ImaginEve! is Des Moines' premier free, non-alcoholic family New Year’s Eve celebration. The event features awesome inflatable rides and bounce houses, a caravan of clowns, balloon artist, carnival games and prizes, toddler zone, mini golf, dancers and a fireworks finale. This one-of-a-kind family event encourages family members of all ages to participate in a wide variety of activities. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
