Ankeny Eatery, Sports Bar Now Serves Up Breakfast on the Weekends

You go there for pizza, beer and to watch the game, but now you can go there for pancakes and bacon.

Benchwarmers, arguably one of the more popular local spots in Ankeny for both food and libations, is now serving up a menu to appeal to an earlier rising crowd.

The restaurant and sports bar is now offering a full breakfast menu on the weekends, said owner Marcus Pitts. The menu offers selections including the "All-Star Breakfast", a breakfast burrito, biscuits and gravy, and breakfast pizza.

Several items can also be ordered a la carté.
