Ankeny Football: Hawks Head West Tonight to Take On Sioux City North

The top-ranked Ankeny Hawks are on the road again this week in search of another victory after last week's strong showing in Ames.

Undefeated Ankeny travels to Sioux City North tonight to take on the Stars (2-4). Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Olsen Stadium, 3201 Peters Ave. in Sioux City.

So will Ankeny go 7-0? According to this poll conducted by the Des Moines Register, almost 98 percent of voters think the Hawks have this one in the bag.

Last week, the Hawks pulled away from Ames in the second half to win 49-17. Ankeny compiled 571 yards offensively with senior quarterback Joel Lanning accounting for 360 in the win.
