Through five weeks, Miracle Park's entry in the Make A Difference Through Play Contest remained in the Top Ten with 2,735 total votes as of Monday, June 10th; only the Top Ten vote-getters make it into the finals when Facebook voting ends at 10:59 p.m. **TONIGHT** -- Saturday, June 15th.
All Facebook users can vote: Copy/paste the link below into their servers or go to Ankeny Miracle Park's Facebook page (or go to the project website at www.ankenymiracleleague.com) to find posts with the link -- click on the link, click to Vote, and your vote will be registered. Everyone can vote once every 24 hours between now and 10:59 p.m. Central Time tonight!
Then on June 20th, the winner will be announced -- grand prize is $25,000 in playground equipment...a *fantastic* prize!!! Ankeny Miracle Park is the Miracle League Field and All-Inclusive Playground project; grading and utilities pipe installation are occurring now on the site, west of Terrace Elementary/behind Hy-Vee in Hawkeye Park. Over the summer, the field and a concession stand/building will be completed. As money is available, the playground will be installed -- so fundraising continues for that component of the project.
