Ankeny Hawks Meet Cedar Rapids Xavier in Iowa High School Football State Championship Game

It's all led up to this game.

Tonight's Ankeny/Cedar Rapids Xavier matchup at the UNI-Dome will not only be the final game for the Hawks as one team, but it will also determine which team walks away the Class 4A Iowa state football champion.

Kickoff is at 7:06 p.m. Live broadcasting of tonight's Class 4A championship game can be found on the Iowa High School Sports Network's website.

Both teams are heading into tonight's game undefeated.

At home, the Ankeny Fire Department will escort the Hawks out of town in a caravan starting at 2:30 p.m. The ladder truck will lead our three charter buses from the north side of Ankeny High School, through the circle drive, to Magazine Road. The caravan will proceed north on Ankeny Boulevard before heading east on First Street toward Interstate 35.

A welcome home rally is also planned for the Hawks, regardless of tonight's game outcome. The rally will be held at the high school approximately 2.5 hours after the conclusion of the game.
