Ankeny Hawks Travel to West Des Moines Valley for Iowa High School Quarterfinals

Tonight will decide whether or not the Ankeny Hawks are headed to the Dome.

The top-ranked Hawks (11-0) have their eyes on the state title and possibly a little retribution when they meet 9-2 West Des Moines Valley tonight at West Des Moines. Last year, Valley knocked the Hawks out of the state tournament in the semifinals.

Tonight's game will be played at Valley Stadium, 1140 35th St. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Last week, the Hawks rolled past Sioux City East in a 45-10 victory.

Bring a sweatshirt, a coat and possibly a hat and gloves (depending on how stubborn you are) because according to weather.com, the temperature around kickoff should be close to 45 degrees.
