Ankeny High School Inducts 64 into National Honor Society Chapter

Sophomores and juniors were recognized at a special April 17 ceremony.

Sixty-four Ankeny High School students recently were inducted into the school's National Honor Society chapter.  

Dr. Jason Glass, director of the Iowa Department of Education, was the keynote speaker at the April 17 ceremony at which he addressed those being inducted into the academic organization.

To become a member of the National Honor Society, students apply for membership, which is based on scholarship, character, leadership, community service, and involvement in co-curricular activities.

Applicants must possess a 3.5 unweighted grade point average, and must also write an essay in order to be considered for admission.
