Ankeny Man Arrested for Allegedly Performing Sex Act in Car with Underage Boy
Creston police arrested men from Ankeny and Des Moines last week for allegedly performing a sex act with a 16-year-old boy in a park late at night.

An Ankeny man was one of two adults charged by Creston Police last week for allegedly performing oral sex with a teenage boy in the back seat of a car, the Des Moines Register reports.
Chad Randall Upmeyer, 37, of Ankeny and Nathan Alexander Nickell, 23, of Des Moines were charged Friday with lascivious conduct with a minor and indecent exposure after Creston police saw three men in a car putting on their clothing, according to the Register.
Officers checked the identification of Upmeyer and were told the other two men were 18 years old. But police learned one of the individuals is 16. Police spoke with the boy at his residence and learned that both Upmeyer and Nickell had been involved in sexual activity with the minor, the newspaper said

Both Upmeyer and Nickell have been released from the Union County Jail. If convicted, both charges are serious misdemeanors, punishable by a maximum fine of $1,875 and a year in jail.
