Ankeny Miracle League "White Out" to be Held at Friday Night Basketball Game Against Waukee

Spectators are asked to wear white to both the girls and boys varsity basketball games. T-shirts will be on sale for $10 before the event.

A big night is planned tomorrow for Ankeny basketball fans.

Friday, Feb. 8, will be a special "white out" night, held to benefit and raise awareness for the Ankeny Miracle Park project. Spectators who attend the girls and boys varsity basketball games against Waukee, played at 6:15 and 7:45 in the Ankeny High School gym, are asked to wear white to support the high school's commitment to the project.

It also will be Senior Night for the Hawks and Hawkettes.

Finally, a special presentation will be held just before the start of the girls game.

Special Miracle League t-shirts will be sold in the high school commons for $10 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday. All proceeds go to the Miracle Park project. Donation buckets for the Miracle League will also be passed after the first quarter of the boys’ game.
