On Wednesday, June 3, the City of Ankeny closed NW 9th Street, between NW Park Lane and NW Greenwood Street. This closure is due to the Pavement Reconstruction Program. The closure will span from just west of NW Park Lane and continue to just west of NW Greenwood Street. The closure is anticipated to remain in place for eight weeks, weather depending. The designated detour route will utilize NW Irvinedale Drive, NW 5th Street and NW Greenwood Street. Click Here to view the project location map and detour route.

This project will also include the closure of all pedestrian accommodations, within the project limits, on the north side of NW 9th Street, including the 8-foot path that travels north of the project site, located east of the Westwood Elementary School parking lot and west of North Creek Circle. Sidewalk detours will remain in place until the sidewalk can be safely used.
