Ankeny Police Arrest Six People After Early-Morning Home Burglary
The owner of the residence located in the 2000 block of Four Seasons Drive also was assaulted during the incident, police say.

Six people are facing various charges after allegedly burglarizing an Ankeny home and assaulting its owner.
Police responded to the 2000 block of Four Seasons Drive just before 3 a.m. Thursday morning, a news release from the Ankeny Police Department said. When officers arrived, they found five people in the house, one of whom was injured.

- Janet Freeborn, 47, of Des Moines, charged with second-degree criminal mischief (Class D felony), first-degree burglary (Class B felony), assault causing serious bodily injury (Class D felony), assault causing bodily injury (serious misdemeanor).
- Miranda Miles, 17, of Des Moines charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree theft (Class D felony).
- Tyler Grove, 19, of Des Moines charged with first-degree burglary, assault causing bodily injury (serious misdemeanor).
- Kelley Allbee, 37, of Des Moines charged with first-degree burglary, assault causing injury.
- Keith Freeborn, 58, of Des Moines charged with first-degree burglary, assault causing bodily injury
- Thomas Mcelvogue, 19, of Des Moines charged with first-degree burglary and second degree theft.
During the burglary, the homeowner was hit in the head with an object and was bitten on the forearm, the release said. The home's interior also sustained extensive damage and a 2001 Chevy Imapala was reported stolen, but has since been recovered.
The suspects allegedly fled the home and were later found and arrested. The homeowner was treated at a Des Moines hospital and released.

According to the release, the homeowner and the suspects knew each other prior to the incident.
