Ankeny Police Blotter: Public Intoxication, Drugs and Lots of OWIs

Charges do not always result in convictions. All individuals listed below are innocent until proven guilty.

Dec. 29

Clarke A. Davidson, 28, Des Moines, is facing a charge of trespassing following an incident 207 N.E. Delaware Ave.

Dec. 30

Christopher A. Bales, 37, Ankeny, is facing charges of assault (domestic abuse – simple) and child endangerment following an incident at 3215 S.E. 72^nd St.

Betsy A. Stordahl, 27, Ankeny, was arrested at 605 N.W. School St. on an outstanding warrant issued by Polk County.

Jacob D. Stout, 20, Des Moines, is facing a charge of first-degree harassment following an incident at 1701 N.W. Second St.

Dec. 31

Steven F. Adams, 31, Des Moines, is facing a charge of disorderly conduct following an incident at 133 S.E. Delaware Ave.

Shannon M. Smith, 29, Springfield, Mo., is facing a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop near Northwest Second Street and 66^th Avenue in Saylor Township.

Zachary W. Stoos, 24, Ankeny, was arrested following a traffic stop near the intersection of West First and Northwest State streets on an outstanding warrant.

Austin Woltz, 25, Kansas City, Mo., is facing a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated (first offense) following a traffic stop on Interstate 35 southbound near Ankeny.

Doug D. Dorsey Jr., 46, Ankeny, is facing a charge of third-degree attempted burglary following an incident at 2021 Windover Dr.

Carissa A. Launderville, 26, Des Moines, is facing a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated (second offense) following a traffic stop in the 800 block of East First Street.

Kevin J. Ritchey, 32, Canton, Ohio, is facing a charge of public intoxication following an incident near the 2300 block of South Ankeny Boulevard.

Jan. 2

Cassandra L. Hoffman, 27, Ankeny, is facing a charge of driving while barred following a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Southwest State Street.

William C. Lannom, 29, Des Moines, is facing charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Southwest State Street.

Jan. 3

Besim Smajlovic, 35, Ankeny, was arrested at 802 E. First St. on an outstanding warrant issued by the city of Des Moines.

Jan. 4

Alexander J. Halbur, 28, Des Moines, was arrested near 1100 S.E. Oralabor Rd. on an outstanding warrant issued by Polk County.

Jan. 5 

Kristen R. Mahoney, 41, Ankeny, is facing a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop in the 500 block of Northwest Ash Drive. 

April M. Milliken, 26, Nevada, is facing charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 400 block of Southeast Delaware Avenue.

Jan. 6

David G. Ott, 50, Ankeny, is facing charges of interference with official acts and operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop in the 500 block of Southwest Ordnance Road.

Keaton S. Rieks, 18, Ankeny, is facing charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and child endangerment following an incident at 2220 Summer Park Dr. 

Jan. 7

Pablo T. Cruz, 24, Ankeny, is facing a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Northeast Crestmoor Place.

Jerick M. McGonigal, 19, Story City, is facing a charge of possession of marijuana and was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a traffic near the 800 block of North Ankeny Boulevard.

Harlan D. Wright, 45, Ames, is facing a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated following an incident near 1025 E. First St.

Jan. 8

Jacob A. Hooge, 22, Ankeny, is facing a charge of public intoxication following an incident near 210 S.E. Third St. 

Brad M. Lee, 24, Ankeny, is facing a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop near West First and Northwest Linden streets. 

Jan. 9

Gary M. Cornelius, 54, Ames, is facing charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended or revoked license following an incident near 1025 E. First St.
