Ankeny Police Blotter: Burglaries and Drunk Drivers Keep Police Busy

A summary of incident reports with individual charges provided by the Ankeny Police Department.

Dates below are when the incident was reported or occurred, not when an arrest or charges were filed. Charges do not always result in convictions. All individuals listed below are innocent until proven guilty.

Nov. 22

Lauren Elizabeth Burlingame, 21, of Ankeny, was charged with OWI following a traffic stop at the corner of Northeast 36th Street and Northeast Trilein Drive.

Nov. 21

Derrick Scott Brevard, 41, of Ankeny, was charged with assault domestic abuse with intent or with a weapon, criminal mischief in the second degree, and no driver’s license, or failure to have one in his possession, following an incident at 939 S.E. Delaware Ave.

Trisha Stepp, 23, of Des Moines, was charged with indecent exposure following an incident at 107 N. Ankeny Blvd.

Tony Schlegal, 38, of Ankeny, was charged with public intoxication, alcohol or drugs, following an incident at 106 N.W. College Ave.   

Brian Richard Wright, 24, of Des Moines, was charged with second offense OWI following a traffic stop in the 700 block of Northeast Fifth Street in Ankeny.

Ankeny police filed a report of third-degree theft at Dewey Dodge, 3175 S.E. Delaware Ave.

Nickolas William Menary, 23, of Carlisle, was charged with OWI and careless driving following at traffic stop at 310 N.E. 12th St. Place.

Ankeny police filed a report of third-degree burglary at 811 S.W. 28th St., Apt. 107.

Nov. 19

Eugene Michael Anthony, 21, of Allen Township, was arrested on an outstanding Polk County warrant following an incident at 205 N.E. Trilein Drive.

Ankeny police filed a report of third-degree burglary at 118 N.W. State St., Apt. 4.

Jessica Lynn Winters, 23, of Des Moines was charged with assault, domestic abuse with injury, following an incident at 718 S. Ankeny Blvd.
