A summary of incident reports with individual charges provided by the Ankeny Police Department.

Charges do not always result in convictions. All individuals listed below are innocent until proven guilty.

Dec. 3

Anton R. Miller, 22, Ankeny, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop near the 300 block of Northeast Delaware Ave.

Dec. 4

Billy G. Hart, 37, Ankeny, was charged with simple assault following an incident at 321 S.E. Lowell Dr.

Maximilian J. Kragel, 19, Ankeny, was charged with assault and possession of alcohol under the legal age following an incident at 106 S.W. Linden St. 

Skyler M. Ryan, 21, Anita, was charged with assault following an incident at 4627 N.E. McDougal Lane.

Christopher D. Sorensen, 22, Ankeny, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated (third offense) following a traffic stop near 353 N.E. Delaware Ave.

David F. Young, 25, St. Charles, was charged with operating a vehicle with a revoked license following a traffic stop near the 1500 block of Southwest Magazine Road. 

Police responded to 2602 N.W. 14th St. at approximately 3:41 a.m. for a report of a burglary.

Police responded to 114 N.W. College Ave. at approximately 10:21 a.m. for a report of third-degree burglary of a vehicle.

Police responded to , 1935 S.E. Delaware Ave., at approximately 1:27 p.m. for a report of theft. 

Dec. 5

Orlando Reyes-Rivera, 25, Ankeny, was charged with assault causing bodily injury following an incident at 4627 N.E. McDougal Lane.

Police responded to 302 S.E. Lowell Dr. at approximately 12:54 p.m. for a report of criminal mischief. 

Dec. 6

John P. Aldridge, 21, Polk City, was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication following an incident at 1912 S.W. Third St.

Rachel L. Baker, 28, Des Moines, was charged with fourth-degree theft following an incident at , 1935 S.E. Delaware Ave.

Samantha L. Hufford, 33, West Des Moines, was charged with driving with a revoked license following a traffic stop near the 300 block of Southwest Maple Street.

Lori L. McKeever, 45, Delaware Township, was charged with fourth-degree theft following an incident at 2010 S.E. Delaware Ave.

Edwin D. Prothero, 21, Crocker Township, was arrested on an outstanding warrant following an incident at 406 S.W. School St.

Police responded to 2785 N. Ankeny Blvd. at approximately 12:37 p.m. for a report of a burglary.

Police responded to 514 S.E. Seventh St. at approximately 2:22 p.m. for a report of identity theft.

Dec. 7

David R. Shafer, 68, Saylor Township, was charged with assault – willful injury following an incident at 1955 S.E. Delaware Ave.

Dec. 8

Crasuan D. King, 22, Des Moines, was charged with simple assault following an incident at 401 S. Ankeny Blvd.

Dec. 9

Ashley H. Cohrs, 18, Atlantic, was charged with fifth-degree theft following an incident at , 1935 S.E. Delaware Ave.

David D. Lay, 23, Des Moines, was charged with assault – domestic abuse with injury following an incident at 109 N.W. College Ave.

Dec. 10

Jason R. McElhinny, 41, Maitland, Fla., was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop near 1024 E. First St. in Ankeny.

Brandie M. Miller, 35, Des Moines, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop near the intersection of Northwest Second Street and 72nd Place, Crocker Township.

Dec. 11 

Justice B. Jackson, 35, Des Moines, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop near the intersection of Northeast Fifth Street and North Ankeny Boulevard.

Shelly R. Reber, 44, Ankeny, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop near the 1100 block of East First Street.
