Ankeny Police Blotter: OWIs, Other Alcohol-Related Charges for Dec. 6

A roundup of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and other alcohol-related charges extracted from our recent police blotters provided by the Ankeny Police Department.

Editor's note: All information below is provided by the Ankeny Police Department in incident reports. Dates below are when the incident was reported or occurred, not when an arrest or charges were filed. Charges do not always result in convictions. All individuals listed below are innocent until proven guilty.

Oct. 31

Joshua E. Gipple, 22, Crocker Township, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop that occurred in the 3100 block of South Ankeny Boulevard.

Nov. 4

Denise D. Scott, 53, Malcolm, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, driving left of center and attempting to elude an officer following a traffic stop that occurred 2700 block of South Ankeny Boulevard.

Nov. 6

Robert J. Hughes, 20, Ames, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possessing contraband in a correctional facility, possession of narcotics and possession of prescription drugs.

Nov. 7

Amber J. Catrenich, 25, Des Moines, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic incident that occurred in the 100 block of Northeast Delaware Avenue.

Ryan D. Miller, 36, Ankeny, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated (second offense) following a traffic incident that occurred in the 1600 block of Northwest Prairie Lakes Drive.

Nov. 11

Gavin L. Olsen, 30, Huxley, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic incident that occurred on northbound Interstate 35 near mile marker 89.

Nov. 12

Shawn S. Grandstaff, 35, Ankeny, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic incident that occurred in the 1800 block of North Ankeny Boulevard.
