Police Searching for Second Suspect in Hotel Robbery

A Des Moines man is being sought by Ankeny police for his possible connection to an Ankeny hotel robbery.

Police are attempting to locate 22-year-old Crasuan King after he was allegedly involved in a Dec. 12 incident where a lockbox was reported missing from the , 2510 S.E. Tones Drive in Ankeny. The lockbox contained $53,000 in cash, a police report issued by the Ankeny Police Department said.

Police officers responded to the hotel at about 7:54 a.m. They later arrested Abigail K. Stifel, 21, of Ankeny in connection with the robbery. Stifel was an employee at Country Inn & Suites at the time of the robbery, said Capt. Joe Schaffer of the , although no additional details are being released.

Stifel was taken to the Polk County Jail following her Dec. 23 arrest. She posted bond and is now facing charges of first-degree theft, a Class C felony.

Schaffer said King and Stifel are acquaintances. King also is facing first-degree theft charges and currently has an active warrant out for his arrest.

Emily R. Forte, 23, Johnston, was charged with possession of methamphetamine following a traffic stop near the intersection of South Ankeny Boulevard and Southeast Lorenz Drive.

Dec. 19

Brittani L. Byard, 26, Ankeny, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident at 160 N.E. 41st St.

Rockney D. Englehoven, 52, Oskaloosa, was charged with first-degree theft and theft of a motor vehicle following an incident at 4807 S.E. Rio Ct

Dominic L. Lee, 20, Ames, was charged with possession of marijuana following an incident at the , 133 S.E. Delaware Ave.

Aisha Y. Oliver, 30, Ankeny, was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop near Southwest Ordnance Road and Walnut Street.

Dec. 21

Dennis R. German, 40, Altoona, was charged with possession of marijuana following a traffic stop near 1001 E. First St.

Naomi E. Lindsey, 20, Ames, was charged with fourth-degree theft (shoplifting) following an incident at , 1935 S.E. Delaware Ave.

Police responded to 1156 N.E. Eighth Ln. at approximately 3:15 a.m. for a report of third-degree burglary to a vehicle.
