Police responded to the Super 8 motel, 206 S.E. Delaware Ave., for a dispute between the hotel clerk and a guest. The guest called the police department and reported his room was allegedly “full of bed bugs,” according to a police call log. Upon arrival of an officer, the customer agreed to leave and hotel management agreed to not charge the guest for his room.
Children at Home as Ankeny House is Burglarized
Nov. 16
Police responded to the 2600 block of Southwest Westwinds Boulevard for a report of a burglary. According to a police call log, the homeowner’s daughter and her friend were watching television in the basement when they heard the doorbell ring and someone walking around upstairs. The suspect left when the daughter called out for her father, the call log said. Jewelry and cash were later found missing from the home’s master bedroom.
Resident Reports Slashed Tires in Sherman Drive Area
Nov. 18
Police reported to the 400 block of Southeast Sherman Drive where a caller reported two tires on his truck had been slashed during the overnight hours. The caller did not want a report made but requested extra patrol in the area, stating the neighborhood is usually pretty quiet.
