Ankeny Police: OWIs, Other Alcohol-Related Charges from This Week's Blotter
A roundup of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and other alcohol-related charges extracted from our recent police blotters provided by the Ankeny Police Department.

July 13
Brandon L. Blanchard, 25, Ankeny, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and careless driving following a traffic incident that occurred in the 1800 block of North Ankeny Boulevard.
July 20
Judy L. Bailey, 51, Ankeny, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, eluding an officer and improper use of lanes following a traffic incident that occurred near the intersection of Northwest 10th and State streets.
Nathan S. Krier, 29, Conrad, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated (second offense) and failure to maintain control following a traffic incident that occurred in the 2000 block of Southeast Trilein Drive.
July 21
Benjamin J. Collen, 29, Ankeny, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated (second offense) and eluding an officer following a traffic incident that occurred on northbound Interstate 35 near mile marker 91.
July 24
Julie A. Bennett, 52, Ankeny, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated (second offense) following a traffic incident that occurred near the intersection of Southeast Oralabor and Hulsizer roads.
Brian A. Kuhn, 33, Ankeny, was charged with public intoxication following an incident that occurred near the intersection of West First Street and Northwest College Avenue.
July 25
Lee M. Nichols, 27, Ankeny, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic incident that occurred in the 100 block of Southeast Third Street.
July 26
Emily A. Amodeo, 24, Des Moines, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic incident that occurred on southbound Interstate 35 near mile marker 93.
Shane C. Cape, 26, Ankeny, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic incident that occurred near the intersection of Southwest Highpointe Drive and Oralabor Road. Cape also was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
