Ankeny Police Request Assistance In Locating Missing Person

The Ankeny Police Department is seeking assistance from the public to help locate Michael S. Nichols. Nichols, age 58, is a white male, 5’04” 100 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a baggy short sleeved shirt. He has a large raspberry birth mark on his left arm and shoulder. He has severe medical conditions which are enhanced during the heat. He does not have access to his medication and cannot be reached by phone.

Nichols was last seen on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2020 at 6 p.m. in the 1100 block of W. First Street, Ankeny. He is most likely on foot, possibly carrying a canvas bag with him. He has been seen on or around bike trails north of Ankeny.

Anyone that may have had contact with Michael Nichols or has information on his whereabouts, is asked to call 911 or the Polk County Dispatch Center at 515-286-3333.
