Ankeny Police Searching for Suspects in School Construction Site Burglary
Ankeny police responded to the Prairie Trail Elementary School construction site on Dec. 15 after workers reported approximately $2,000 in tools had been stolen.
The is searching for four suspects involved in a construction site theft last week.
On Dec. 15 at approximately 7:08 a.m., Ankeny police responded to the Prairie Trail Elementary School construction site, located near 1850 S.W. College St., after several victims reported their tools had been stolen.
A press release issued Monday by the police department said workers arrived on the construction site and found the job boxes used to store their tools had been broken into and approximately $2,000 worth of various tools had been stolen.

It is believed the theft occurred in the early morning hours of Dec. 15, the release said.
A security camera at the site recorded four young male suspects stealing tools from a job box. Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspects is encouraged to call Detective Corey Schneden at 515-289-5264 or Polk County Crime Stoppers at 515-223-1400.
